General terms and conditions and Tlekkerbeddeke legal notices
Thank you for choosing Tlekkerbeddeke Bed and Breakfast.
By making a booking to stay with us, you are entering a legal contract that is subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. Booking and Reservations
Deposit: A deposit equal to one night's stay (up to two nights) or 50% of the total booking amount (three or more nights) is required to secure your reservation.
Confirmation: Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of the deposit.
Payment: We ask the full booking amount to be prepaid to our bank account before the arrival.
Prices: Our prices are indicated on our reservation website and include applicable VAT.
Price might vary depending on selected services, date and length of stay.
2. Check-in and Check-out
Check-in: Between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Unless agreed otherwise.
Check-out: By 11:00 AM. Late check-out may be available upon request for an additional fee.
3. Cancellation Policy
Standard Reservations: Cancellations made more than 14 days before arrival will receive a full refund, minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival will forfeit the deposit.
Holiday and Special Events: Cancellations must be made at least 30 days in advance for a full refund, minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellations within 30 days will forfeit the deposit.
4. House Rules
Non-Smoking: We have a strict no-smoking policy throughout the house. Guests may smoke outside in the guest garden. If any guest breaks our strict non-smoking policy and smokes in any part of the house, the guest agrees to pay for a professional tobacco and smoke odour removal service. Smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas only.
Pets: Pets are not allowed.
Children: Children are welcome at Tlekkerbeddeke Bed and Breakfast but need to be under supervision by their parents or guardians at all times.
Noise: Please respect the legal noise limits between 10pm and 7am.
Wheelchair users: We are very sorry to say that the bedrooms in Tlekkerbeddeke Bed and Breakfast are only accessible via stairs and are therefore not suitable for wheelchair users.
5. Liability
Personal Belongings: We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.
Damage: Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property during their stay.
6. Force Majeure
Unforeseen Events: We are not liable for cancellations or changes due to events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or government regulations.
7. Governing Law
Jurisdiction: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Belgium.
8. Breakfast
Breakfast is an additional paid service that needs to be selected during the booking process.
For bookings without breakfast, breakfast might be available if requested at least 24 hours in advance.
If you book your stay with breakfast, we set a breakfast table in your room so you can choose your preferred breakfast time. Any food that requires refrigeration will be waiting for you in the fridge.
Our breakfast is valued by our guests. Alongside basics, we strive to include regional products.
In case of specific dietary requirements, please notify us at the time of reservation so we can accommodate these.
9. Environmental considerations and sustainability
Please consider the environment in the use of water and energy.
WASTE: Please sort your waste info following fractions: PMD (Plastic, Metal, Drink containers), GLASS, PAPER, REST
10. Data privacy
Use of personal data: When using our website and services, you leave certain data with us. This can be personal data. We only save and use personal data directly submitted by you, or data that has been provided to us for processing. We will not use your personal data for other purposes, unless you have given us permission, or if we are permitted or obliged to do so according to the law.
We use third parties to provide certain services e.g. online bookings. All partners are selected on the basis they are compliant with current legislation and do not sell, distribute or lease your personal information. All our third-party service providers and other entities in the group are required to take appropriate security measures to protect your personal information in line with our policies. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes. We only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.
We respect your privacy and will not share your personal information with third parties without your consent.
